I miss the 90's

You're a 90's kid if:

You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"
You know that "How Rude!" comes from Stephanie from "Full House"
You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
You remember reading "Goosebumps"
You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off"
You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.
You made paper scrunchies to see who you'd end up marrying
You danced to "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls (so tell me what you want, what you really really want.)
You remember the craze, then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.
You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence...Not...
Where in the world is Carmen San Diego? was both a game and a TV game show.
Captain Planet.
You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green Ranger were meant to be together.
You remember when super nintendos became popular.
You remember watching home alone 1, 2 , and 3........and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"
"I've fallen and I can't get up"
You remember boom boxes vs. cd players
You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool
You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell"
You played and/or collected "Pogs"
You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet or Nano and brought it everywhere
You watched the original Care Bears, My Little Pony, and Ninja Turtles
NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS WERE THE BEST MYSTERY BOOKS
Yikes pencils and erasers were the stuff!
All your school supplies were "Lisa Frank" brand.(pencils.notebooks.binders.etc.)
You remember when the new Beanie Babies were always sold out.
You used to wear those stick on earrings, not only on your ears, but at the corners of your eyes.
You've gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
You know the Macarena by heart.
"Talk to the hand" ... enough said
You thought Brain would finally take over the world
You always said, "Then why don't you marry it!"
You remember when everyone went slinky crazy.
You remember when razor scooters were cool.

When we were younger:

Before the MySpace frenzy...
Before the Internet & text messaging...
Before Sidekicks & iPods...
Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX...
...Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night
When light up sneakers were cool.
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.
When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.
When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie.
When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off our walkmans.
When the Chicago Bulls were the best team ever.
Tag.
Get Over Here!!!! means something to you.
Hide-n-Go Seek at dusk.
Red Light, Green Light.
Heads Up 7 Up.
Playing Kickball & Dodgeball until your porch light came on.
Hopskotch.
Tree Houses.
Hula Hoops.
HELLO....HOT WHEELS!!!!!
Running through the sprinklers.
That "Little Mermaid"
Crying when Mufasa died in the Lion King.
Happy Meals where you chose a Barbie or a Hot Wheels car.
Getting the privilege to sit in the front seat of the car.
Drinking Sqeeze It "Squeeze The Fun Out Of It"

Or what about:
Hey Arnold.
Rugrats.
The Secret World of Alex Mac.
Rocco's Modern Life.
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Doug.
Magic School Bus.
Aladdin.
Pinky and the Brain
Sailor Moon.
Blossom.
Beavis & Butt-Head
Wishbone.
Bill Nye the Science Guy
MR RODGERS!!!!
Where everyone wanted to be in love after watching The Wonder Years.
Under the Umbrella Tree
PEE-WEE!!!
The Big Comfy Couch
Kool-Aid was the drink of choice.
Class field trips.
When Christmas was the most exciting time of year.
When $5 seemed like a million, & another dollar a miracle.
When you begged to go to McDonalds for dinner everyday.
When Toys R Us overuled the mall.

Go back to the time when:

Decisions were made by going 'eeny-meeny-miney-moe'.
Money issues were handled by whoever was banker in 'Monopoly.'
Being old referred to anyone over 20.
A chance to skate as a couple at the local roller rink was like winning the lottery.
When Ninja Turtles ruled the world.
When Aladdin was new, before the trilogy was complete.
Before we realized all this would eventually disappear
Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

I am ... a SUNFLOWER

I am a
Sunflower

What Flower
Are You?

M O E

Meet Moe. My life long pet. Literally. Moe will be turning 14 this year I believe. He has been in the family since Becky was in 5Th grade.. crazy. Yes, don't ask me how he has survived jumping out of the bowl, nephews pouring the whole can of fish food in the tank, mom trying to swoop him in the classic cool whip bowl to help me clean the tank, nieces and nephews scaring it as they put there faces against the tank, and many (and I mean MANY) dirty tanks. Moe became mine one day as Becky got sick of caring for him when she was in Junior high, she and Ty had just set him in the toilet bowl and were saying their goodbyes and I (Moe's lifesaver) told them that I would care for him and took him out before they could flush the toilet... and now here he is STILL ALIVE many years later. Well the reason for this Blog is I think it is coming to the end of Moe's life. I came back from school a week ago tomorrow and I noticed that he wasn't doing much swimming as normal. Usually at nights he swims laps (pathetic I know this, but he has been not only a good but great fish and friend and I watch him swim laps at night and talk to him.. i know weird. but I love him) but he hadn't been. He would just chill. Each time I would come home on a weekend visit this year he has suddenly grown this tumor looking things on each side.. yes my fish is obese. Who thought a fish could be this fat??? Well then when he has been slow since last week I started thinking he is on his death bed..then it really hit me considering the fact that he has been sitting at the bottom of his bowl UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!!!! Yup, well every day since last Friday he just chills upside down... I tap on the tank and no movement. I move the tank a bit and he tries and tries to move and almost gets to swimming and then his obesity takes over and he gets tired of trying so he goes back to being upside down. (it is quite humorous at times.. but then again depressing) So is this fish just aging?.. or what has mom been feeding it? You tell me? Also I'm pretty sure it is the longest living GOLDFISH in the world. I should look into that. Well i LOVE you Moe. I hope to spend many more weeks with you together, but if this is the last summer with you I will be holding funeral services and will never forget the memories we have shared. I love my fish.

goodbye my little ephraim

I thought it was time to blog since I have been a slacker... It has been a crazy couple of weeks. Studying, projects, writing my big paper, trying to have a social life in between, packing, and cleaning! I can't belive this semester is over. It amazes me. I had my last two finals on Tuesday and it felt so great to be done! As I started to pack i was all excited to move home but now that its actually happening it's very bittersweet. I didn't realize how attached i have become to Sam, Ky, Ephraim and every little detail about it. I have been blessed with such great roommates. Us three are like attached at the hip.We have been through so much together and have grown so close. They are like my sisters. We were all crying tonight. I had made a slideshow of all of our pictures from the past two years, put some good tunes to it, and quotes and made it all spify, and suprised them with it tonight. By the end we were all tearing up. Then we just reminised about old times. Then for old times sake we made a Mickey Dees run.. and drove around jamming to music in kys cute new Mazda3. It was a good last day in Ephraim though, I slept in, ate some grub, went for a two hour fourwheeler ride up Ephraim canyon with the girls. I never thought i could fall in love with this little town but there is just something about it that you just have to love. The canyon still was just so peaceful. Fourwheeling has become one of my favorite things to do here. Then i spent the rest of the day deep cleaning my kitchen and bathroom. Pretty sure my arms got a great workout! I'm going to miss the little things of Ephraim, the small classes, Roy's pizza, bonfires, the one stop light, my ward, the dance parties, the games, the smell of turkeypoo, how cute main street is, my team, the bell tower, dennys runs, performing, performing, performing, the chinese restraunt... just EVERYTHING. I could go on and on... but I am so glad I am came down here. I have grown so much and am so thankful for everything that I was able to expierence. It's crazy to think that Ky, Sam, and I are all going our seperate ways. Ky is staying down here, Sam's going to go on a mission in the fall, and I'll be going to UVU. I am excited to see what life has to bring but its so crazy to think that it will never be the same. It's very bittersweet. Bye bye my little town of Eprhaim. I love you.
