starting next week we will have our first link up party! the topic will be a happy list. i love thinking of the little things that make me happy during the week. its a great way to remember wonderful little moments in our life that we too often forget. so please get excited and link up on wednesday!
it will be a great way to start of the the month of february.

on the other hand i am so thankful it is friday. they are easily my favorite. this week has been a great one. i need to get my boot-ay in gear and get back in school mode. i have been having the hardest time getting back into the swing of things this semester. shame on me. i am so proud of myself though. i have felt pretty darn productive this week. don't you love that? i wish every week were like that. i got most everything done on my check lists including deep cleaning my bathrooms, running errands, editing, eating good, working out every day, getting good sleep, drinking lots of water, 'shopping' out of my own closet, and just fulfilling all my small goals. i love this year already.

1. My favorite place I've ever traveled to is anywhere. I haven't traveled too much. I do love each place I have been. But favorites include Southern California

2. France is somewhere I'd love to go someday.

4. My three must-haves when I travel are my phone, my ipod & dr pepper.

5. My favorite travel companion is my dad.

6. The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is when my friend Linz and I were traveling to Vegas through the gorge we ran over a tumbleweed and almost ran into the side. It was so scary!!

7. The most exotic food I've ever tried while traveling is eh.. this one has not happened yet!

8. If I could live anywhere else, I'd live in San Diego. No question.

9. I have been to 12 states in the United States.

i love trying new places.

tiff and i went to a new local american bistro in provo.

it was awesome! i ordered a Strawberry and Grilled Chicken with raspberry pomegranate vinaigrette.

it was ~~perfect~~. not too light for dinner and not too heavy.

oh, and i especially loved their glasses. SO tall.SO perfect.
for an appetizer we got the nachos. ummm ya. they were heavenly.

the server was loving that i was taking pictures of my food. i'm sure he had a good laugh

but hey i had to blog about it!

do you ever get funny looks when you are taking pictures of food or of something random in public? :)

anyhow if you're in the area, go check dave & cranky chuckies !

i loved it. and will def be returning.

ps. see my necklace? i sort of can't stop wearing it. i'm kind of addicted.

okay my new favorite mascara EVER.
i have never been able to find a mascara that i can actually say the word love with.
but this i LOVE. it gives the appearance of a natural thick lashes that

okay can i just say that i love ~~finally~~ meeting blogger friends in real life? miss gentri and i met up to do some pictures and hang out! hellooo fun! she is the cutest and so dang sweet. i am sad we didn't do something before now so we could have hung out more before she moves. after i took her pictures we headed over to the pizza pie cafe (yum!) and ate and chatted forever. and laughed. it was so fun to talk about blogging and about our random dating stories. thanks gentri for a fun evening!! and for putting up with my lack of direction! ha.

1. The last thing I ate was chips and salsa. from chili's of course. i don't think anyone knows my secret love for chips and salsa. i would have it for every meal if i could.

miss sam was so kind to take some pictures of me.

it was so fun to go to one of my favorite places in orem and snap some pictures.

naturally i had to bring my trial glasses along. {these are the ones i'm ordering!}

we were just goofing off and being silly. i LOVE tire swings. and i pretty much almost fel off one. it was pretty dang funny. and ugh i decided that i have the hardest time being on the other side of the lens. sam was so kind to put up with me. thanks sam for taking these!

first off can i just say that i'm super happy that it's friday? and that i'm happy because the weather feels like spring? what the utah.. this has been a wonderful week of work and play. it was so great just to work the past few weeks & not have school. i have a lot of fun things i did that i need to post about from this week because i booked the week full of friends and fun to end my break. yesterday one of my besties and i had a little photo shoot. i can't wait to share more! i am SO picky. ask her. i definitely like being behind the camera better. i was so pleased & so excited about the pictures she took of me. thank you girls for your input about which glasses i should order. i finally decided and i am going to get the 'winston'. i feel like they fit me best. oh, and i'm obsessed with my new infinity scarf. love. love. love. that's all. have a fabo weekend friends!

1. One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is catch up on tv shows, edit pictures, or catch up on all your cute blogs!

2. When I have free time I tend to be super lazy. i like to take a little nap, catch up on the latest shows & music. i also tend to clean.

3. If I had an entire day completely to myself I would grab a jamba, go get a pedi & massage. then head to nordies to go shop. oh and def go get my makeup done. then take a walk up the canyon and pack a picnic. i love being in nature. then head home and pop in f.r.i.e.n.d.s or a good chick flick and relax. {and if it was summer i would go lay out by the pool.}

4. I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others...) a little bit of both. I love doing things with friends and family, but I am one who HAS to have her alone time. even if its just a half hour. i love me some 'me' time.

5. Most of my free time happens in the evenings late at night & on the weekends.

6. The best thing about free time is that you don't have a care in the world and that you can take a little break from 'life'

7. The next time I have free time I should probably clean and do laundry but instead, I'll probably catch up on revenge, greys and edit pictures!!

this girl is need of some new glasses. i have other {smaller} plastic frames but since my lovely eyes have gotten worse over the past few years it's time for new ones with my new prescription! i have been wanting cute nerdy glasses and been searching around. I heard about Warby Parker from a number of blogs and thought I'd try out there "home try-ons". Coolest deal on the block if you ask me. they send you out 5 pairs to try on and then you get to be cool for 5 days and try them out! this is where you come in.. i can't decide which ones to get {i do have 2 favorites} but thought i would post the others to get your two sense..

for me writing in a journal is such an outlet. it's my escape. to write whatever i wish. to write about my life, my thoughts, my ideas, my trials, my happy times, my friends, my family, my work, my play, my adventures, my funny stories, my worries, etc for Christmas my sister got me the neatest journal! it's called a 5 year journal. it asks you a question a day. and then you repeat the book again after each year for 5 years and you can see how your outlook on life has changed! i was thrilled and thought it was the neatest gift. she knows how much i love writing in my journal. it was one of my favorite gifts. so sweet and perfect for me. the questions are so great and really make you think! oh, how i just love journals.

speaking of which.. i just finished another journal tonight. i love that ~~accomplished~~ feeling. i can't wait to open a new journal tomorrow and continue to write my life story. it came at the perfect time {the new year} to start a new chapter in my life. i have a blank blue and a blank green one. i think i will go with the blue!

what a year!

in no particular order here are some things i learned in 2011:

1. i love to travel. going somewhere where i have not been before.

2. dating is amazing, hard, lovely,sucks, and is fabulous all at the same time.

3. letting go is probably the hardest thing i have done.

4. school is the best when you are majoring something that you are passionate about.

5. sometimes you need to have a day where you do nothing but lay in bed & watch movies.

6. i like bubble baths.

7. i am addicted to f.r.i.e.n.d.s. i eat, breathe, and sleep it. ha.

8. i enjoy a good mountain dew.

9. my parents are always right.

10. i can't live with out baby lotion.

11. always be yourself.

12. who my true friends are.

13. no one's perfect.

14. i hate texting.

15. i am an artsy person.

16. the savior is my rock.

17. i am indecisive of what color to keep my hair. so i switch it up a LOT. and i'm perfectly okay with that.

i would be lying if i said 2011 was my favorite year ... it has been probably one of the hardest. i have had many good times and fabulous memories don't get me wrong, but all in all it was what i like to call my 'tester year".. moving forward. i am happy about all of the many lessons i have learned, & things i have learned about myself. i would never take back anything and glad i have experienced different things to make me who i am today. i am so grateful for the gospel, having the opportunity to go to school, for my great job, my wonderful friends, and my loving family. i cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store. i like to call it "my year". i am so blessed with the friends and family i have. i can't get over how lucky i am. i honestly believe that each of us has certain people in our life's for different reasons. it has been fun to look back and reflect on what i have accomplished this year. where i have traveled to, who i have dated, friends i have made, and activities i have done. i just can't believe how fast this year flew!

1. New Years is a great way to start over. even though you can do that any day of the week it just had a different feeling to it. it is a little overrated {nye that is} but i still love it!

2. One of my New Year's resolutions will be to learn to love running. somehow it WILL happen.

3. A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to write in my journal daily. and i actually did it & was great at it! now i'm a journal addict.

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was printing all of my pictures from high school and organizing them in chronological order. but i am so glad i did it because they are so fun to look back on!

5. This year I will be spending New Year's Eve with some of my best friends. a night in. movies. games. and take out! yes please!

6. If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be save money! so i can go to New York & Europe! .

7. 2012 is going to be simply wonderful! i just know it's going to be a good year. full of good changes, a lot of learning, building my photography business,and making myself a better person. bring it on 2012!

One of my favorite holiday snacks is a cheese-ball. {guilty!} I had a food assignment for a party to bring some. I decided to go with two of my favorite recipes.

Lion House Cheese Ball:

2-8 oz. cream cheese

2 C grated sharp cheese

2 T. finely chopped green onions

2 t. Worcester sauce

1 t. lemon juice

1/2 t lemon pepper

1 C chopped pecans

make sure your cream cheese is softened. add in all the ingredients and WA la! then roll in pecans.

Pineapple Cheese Ball:

1 (20 oz) Pineapple-drained

2-8 oz pkgs cream cheese

1/4 C green peppers chopped

1 pkg good seasons Italian salad dressing mix dry

(*original recipe called for 1 t seasonal salt but i use the Italian dressing dry mix)

mix all together and shape into 2 balls, put each into sandwich baggie-chill- then roll in finely chopped walnuts or pecans-chill-enjoy!

they both are so incredibly easy and delicious.

oh, and i made a new friend. how adorable is camper?

Christmas Eve & Day!

Since high school it's pretty much just been my parents and I for Christmas Eve and Day. We made our own tradition of getting Mexican food! Yummy. This year on Christmas Eve we got some grub & we also went to see Mission Impossible 4. I really liked it.

Christmas morning we had our traditional wheat pancakes and strawberry jam. My mom is the best cook. Her waffles are to die for. She grinds the wheat and her jam is homemade. I hope to be half the cook she is when I have a family!

I loved going to church on Christmas day. It made it that much more special. We went to my Grandma's ward. They had a wonderful service filled with music and all about the Saviors life.

Then we came back and that afternoon opened presents! Santa was very good to me and gave me the camera lens I have been wanting. I was ecstatic!!! I was spoiled and also got some filters for my camera, perfume, a flat iron {hallelujah!!!}, jimmy choo perfume, and lots of other fun things! One of my favorite gifts was from my sister Becky. She had my name this year and got me a 5 year journal. It is so neat and I believe it deserves it's own blog post :)

The gift I was most excited about this year is the gift I gave my parents! For you long time readers, remember when I went on an awesome road trip this summer? Well I made a picture book from our road trip. It turned out so neat! And they LOVED it.

That night the rents and I visited some of my siblings! And i played Just Dance with the nieces and nephews! It was a riot. Oh, how I love the holidays.

This Christmas was a lot of fun. I love spending time with my parents and siblings families. I am so blessed to have all of them as my family. Most of all I am blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel and our Savior in my life!

shippen family christmas party 2011

Every year my family gets together for our Shippen Family Christmas party. Since our family has increased in size and my siblings all have their own little families we have our party a few days before Christmas so everyone can be in their own homes for Christmas Eve & Day. We have our traditional Swedish food {meatballs, potatoes, pickled cucumbers & rice pudding}, gift exchange, and other traditions we do.

My daddy always reads all the grand-kids The Night before Christmas. Still can't believe that there are 12 in the picture and 6 are missing! Love these kiddos!

This year we did a little nativity. The kids loved their costumes!

There is something magical about seeing children open presents. It brings back so many fond memories of the magic of Christmas when i was a little girl. It was so fun to see all of their expressions as they opened gifts :) Then we sang a few Christmas Hymns.

Two of my nieces spent the night! We colored, did a fairy puzzle, painted our nails, and watched the movie Parent Trap! They had never seen it and they were giggling the whole time. I forgot how hilarious that movie is :)

okay, let's go back to december. i feel like there are so many things i never blogged about.
so here are some random fun things i have done in pictures!

work baby shower for katie, watching my sissy cook, cute notes from my niece, running into jeffie on campus, studying, cute puppy at work, & din din with chel and jeffie.

this pretty much sums up the weekend before finals week.

me and miss sam at the lib.

chel and i headed up to temple square to see the production 'savior of the world' i loved it so much. it was a great way to start off the Christmas season. it was great seeing the nativity story from a different perspective. afterward we walked around to see the beautiful lights at temple square and then got dessert at the gardens. {which is a cute restaurant that looks over the city and temple}

then naturally we got lost going back to our car. but had fun in the mean time.

me and my beautiful cousins at my uncles wedding! had some fun times. love seeing them. and reminiscing about the good old days:)

caitlyn and i went to spark one night. {and i still crave their chips and guac, i think its time to go back!},two of my 2d projects, me and chel in slc, me and tate, & church time!

lesson learned from this night: always be friends with your cool friends from junior high. cathy, tasha, em and i got together one night and it was a riot! the random combination of us four makes for a great time! we got hot chocolate and cupcakes and caught up!

i honestly don't know where this month has gone! i was so busy/ which i loved, but i was sad to not keep up with blogging. i guess this will just have to do. sometimes i'm not sure how i fit everything into my schedule but somehow it all did. and somehow i managed to get good grades, have someone of a social life, and work full time. i must be magic or something? finals week i totally pulled an all nighter and was up for 40+ hours. i really am getting old because i was DYING. i don't know how i used to pull all nighters.. anyhow..

that sums up my life before the holiday!

I cannot believe it's Christmas already. What a wonderful time of year to reflect and think about the things that mean the most. At this time I am especially grateful for my wonderful family and friends. The older I get the more I realize how blessed I am. Most of all I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ. He is so humble, so loving, and is always there for us. It is this time where we celebrate his birth. He loves us and wants nothing more than for each of us to be happy. He lived such a humble life and did so much so that we can return to be with him one day. I am so thankful for this knowledge and for the knowledge that I can go to him in prayer at any time. He is there. He is listening.

May we all remember the Spirit of Christ this day and throughout this next year!

deep cleaned my desk and drawers at work today. that makes me one happy girl.
who else loves cleaning? i love me some lysol wipes. weird i know. don't you just love the little things that make your days that much better?!

this week has been wonderful! i recently switched to working days instead of nights. it just worked better for my school schedule next semester and maybe now i'll have a little down time. it has been so wonderful having a little break from school and having my nights free to spend time with friends and just relax. it's been fabulous!

5th annual drill reunion

every year i plan a get together with the girls i danced with in high school. we have dinner and watch our drill {dance} videos. it's the ~~best~~ of times. we have SO many memories.the good. the bad. the funny. reminiscing of football games, basketball games competitions, early morning practices, running, the makeup, the costumes, drill camp, our coaches, boys, the glitter in our hair, or the time my shoe fell off during a competition. {that is a story for a different day, ha!}

love my time with these girls. i love how even five years later we can just laugh about everything. we were so close because we went through so much together. something about being on a team with someone you have such an awesome relationship and friendship with them, you understand them, and love them no matter what.

we had a lovely thanksgiving.

no pictures of the adult table. i need to be better at taking pictures. but hey! at least you got to see my shot at trying to be domestic. thanks martha stewart for helping me make these. not going to lie they were a pain to fold. but i tried to do a cute boat/ship theme tablescape. the food was delish. and i just love my family. oh, and next year i want to make these.

finals are over.

i am a happy girl.

this was one of my final projects. we had to take a song that means a lot to us. that describes something we have been through. i chose this song because it always rings true to me. then i created this composition. i titled it, "regrets or mistakes they were memories made". that is my favorite line in the song. because no matter what we have gone through they are all memories. we need to remember the good things. even though sometimes it is hard to remember the good things, and hope for those in the future.so i faded out his face. shes touching him because she wants "someone like him". there is a brick wall layered on because the "time flies, and yesterday was the time of their lives" but in the end she wants nothing but the best for him. i put part of the lyrics across as well because those and inscribed in her. and the double layer shows the past and those engraved memories.

the sis, the mom & i like to go to plays on occasion. even though in the picture i don't look to happy, i promise you i was ha! i just wasn't ready for the pic. just a few blocks from my house is a small theater called the hale centre theater. i remember going there as a little girl. it always amazed me what they can do with such small space with a center stage. this play was super cute. it is set in the late 1950's and include these songs. i love oldies songs. every saturday growing up my dad would blast his old school music.

{pre-thanksgiving break}

sometimes you just need a weekend to rejuvenate from ~~life~~. that is when i head to my little st. george utah. tate and i were lucky enough to get a little weekend away aka our pre thanksgiving break. (yes i realize this was almost a month ago.) this makes me sad blogging about this now because i wish i could just jump in these pictures because i am so ready for another break! {three more days.. three more days} this break was awesome. we went down with no plans but just to kick it in the condo. we made good food, slept, and RELAXED. it was amazing. time wasn't a factor. we went as we pleased, had one too many mountain dews, got massages, went to wal-mart in our leggings, boots, and cardigans {oh, so classy}, read, took naps, watched movies, played games, and slept some more. i didn't even bring my camera because i wanted to not even think about having to do anything. so thankful i was able to have this break.

i highly recommend this.

a few weeks back i had to write a paper analyzing a piece of art work so my mama and i headed down to the byu art museum. we had a wonderful time looking at the different exhibits. i love doing simple activities like this. they had an awesome quilt exhibit going on that mama bev just loved. my favorite piece was the display of books they had. it was so cool! {it is the first one pictured} i thought it was so creative and just awesome. i never realized how much i heart art until this year. it just makes me happy.

This here is my 1000th post!

I thought I would share with you a few things about myself and why I blog.

{july 2007}

I started this little blog here on July 8th, 2007.

I didn't REALLY start blogging til the fall of 2007.

I was at the ripe age of 19 years old and about to move back to my little college town to start my second year of college. My sister had been bugging me about getting a blog so she and my family could see what I was up to while I was away... and so I gave into peer pressure and did! I was so hesitant because back then blogging was for the girls that were married or had kids. What was I to blog about? I am so glad I gave in & that I have kept up with it. I love clicking back into old posts and reading about things that I forgot I did. Even though I don't get too personal on here I love reading about random stories, what I did that weekend, who I was hanging out with, random quotes that I have found, or remembering when I bought my first car, memories of boys that I've dated, or family traditions. All of these things have made me become who I am today. I love seeing my growth as a person & things I have accomplished.

Just like my grandpa said

How true is that?? With just even one little line our mind can take us back to actual reality.

And, boy do I love to remember.

Another aspect of blogging that just makes me happy is sharing pictures. Now days it seems like no one ever prints pictures. The process goes as follows: you snap pictures of something, you upload them to your computer, store them in a file and on occasion look at them. I love the fact that with a blog you can post your pictures and "journal" about what happened on that very day in time. I love that you can make blogs into your own personal story book. One day I will be able to show my future family things I used to do and the people I was around: and read them my life story :)

I have become friends with some amazing people on here. Some have become just my bloggy friends and other IRL friends. People who just don't get blogging probably find it so funny, but I love {and yes I do realize I have probably said love a million times already in this post, but hey I'm just a passionate person ;)} the friendships I have made. We all seem to relate to each other in some form or another. There have been many days when I have been having a terrible day and I will read someones blog that inspires me. There have also been many times where someones silly little comment just brightened my day.I just love the little blogging community.

And now for some random facts about me for you:

7. I have a ring that I got when I was in California at drill/dance camp that I wear a ring on my right hand ring finger. I don't leave home with out it.

6. I am always the one nominated to plan something. I am the planner for just about everything. When it comes to a few different groups of friends some how I end up doing it. And I love it. {next item of business coming up that I planned is my drill/dance 5th year reunion in December!}

5. I get along with just about every personality type. Not sure how this one happened? But it's the truth.

4. I have to fall asleep to noise. I typically fall asleep to Ross, Monica, Rachel, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe making me laugh.

3. I am the worlds greatest procrastinator. But I have come to terms I just work better under a time limit and stress ;)

2. I dream of living in a small town. {With a cute re-done old house & a porch swing.}

1. I wear colored contacts. Although my eyes are naturally blue I just like it better that way! Oh, and I'm blind as a bat :)

Every year my family has a Halloween Party. We keep our costumes secret until our grand entrance at the party. Everyone is always so creative and has me laughing. We have our usual white chicken chili, homemade root beer, doughnut eating contest, kids games, and pinata! I dressed up as 'mother nature'. My favorite costumes this year was my sister and her husband dressed as Amish people. I thought they did a great job!

my school journey

my latest piece of art, "illusion of depth"

One of the perks to being an art major is that homework is usually pretty dang fun. I love school. I've always liked school but I love that now I just don't like it, I love it. It took me a long way to get to the point I am at. Maybe some of you can relate to my story. I have probably switched my major 4 or 5 times. All during high school I knew I wanted to be a dental hygienist. That was the plan. No questions. As I moved away and went to college I started taking generals {obviously} as well as some medical related courses. I soon found out that maybe that wasn't my path. I switched to an elementary education major. At this point I didn't really pursue it much, just knew that I loved teaching and loved kids. Then I pondered doing dance education because I never thought I would be able to just up and stop dancing after attending my first two years of school. For some reason or another that didn't settle right. I was lost. I didn't know which direction to take. Being the youngest of seven kids I thrived on weddings. I am a very organized person. I love planning. I live it. So why not do something like that? I mean who doesn't want to be like Jennifer Lopez in The Wedding Planner?? At that point I had moved back home and was wanting to attend the University in my home town and they had a Hospitality Management program where I could study to be an event planner. Hello fun! I started to do some pre-requisites and nothing ever went the right way for some way or another. Something always got in the way. I was so lost and confused as to what to do. Back tracking a little. Every since I was a little girl I've always had a camera in my hand. I would pose my friends and snap pictures of them, have my sisters & mom do my hair and makeup just so I could have them take pictures of me and I would take pictures of my cute little dolls. Whatever I was doing I would beg my mom to let me take her camera! I remember the birthday that I got my very own camera. I couldn't wait to start taking pictures. I would love for the weekend to come just so I could spend my babysitting money to get my film developed. Moving on to junior high and high school, let's just say if you were my friend I probably have a million+ pictures of you and your life is photographed. While I was attending school at SNOW my drill team got to pose before every game for a team picture, my roommates and I would go on photo shoots, and my camera never left my sight. I started to love posing people and messing around with editing pictures. Then a year later on Christmas Santa brought me a SLR. Needless to say I was in heaven! For the next couple of years I was still a little lost girl in a big world not knowing what to do. Behind the scenes one after another family, friends and friends of friends started to ask me to take their photographs. I would always come home smiling and so happy. I loved capturing the love between families, friends, and couples. I knew I wanted to pursue this.. but wasn't quite sure if I should. I doubted myself and thought it was too much of a hobby. Deep down I loved creating something beautiful. I loved using my imagination. Finally it all came to me and I took a huge leap of faith and registered for classes and here I am. I am still on my journey. I am still a rookie and an amateur and am still learning each and every day. I can say, I love what I am studying. I love my little side job. It's so rewarding and so enjoyable! School has already been stretching me so much with each composition I create, or art piece I study. I can't wait to see where this next year takes me. Art is amazing.

Okay, so I know that was a huge rambled mess but point blank. I've been thinking about my little journey a lot lately, and what it has taught me. Which is this: Whatever it may be in life. Have faith. Also, remember to enjoy the journey, because sooner or later you will get where you're supposed to be. Sometimes (okay maybe a lot of the time) it's frustrating. It may take a lot longer time then you want it to. Hang in there. You will make it! It's all about a little hard work, endurance, pondering, and going through the crazy journey. Through it you will discover pieces of yourself, who you are, and who you were destined to become.

In the end it will all be worth it.

I'll never forget the time we crashed on a tandem bike, our first deep conversation in n74, the time we stopped to see what the landmark was, the time we went on a picnic, the time we listened to the neighbors through the wall with cups, the time we went ice skating, the first time we met, my many trips to Logan to visit you, our many target adventures,the many late night conversations on one of our beds, the many times one of us was going through a hard time and we were always there for each other, the time we played in the Noyes building with Dan, Easter egg hunts with Ky Ky, our dinner and movie dates, laughing so hard that we both start crying. I'll never forget the first time I saw you cry (yes you were like Cameron Diaz on the holiday;)), or the time we went camping with Brady, sleepovers in the family room, or the many times we send picture messages asking "guess what I'm doing?", or the time that Al gore got mad and that's when scary pig face is funny. I'll never forget when we got lost when we were going hiking, going on an adventure to wales, or being nerds and blogging together.

I love that we get each other. I love that you hate when I tell you "BTI" I love that you love the office, Weezer and The Beatles. I love how hilarious you are when it's least expected. I love that you're a white. I love that you are so strong. You follow your heart. You go after your dreams. You never give up. Thanks for being such a wonderful example in my life.And I love that you're as sweet as they come. But most of all I love that you're one of my best friends.

May your birthday be just as wonderful as you are!!!

I was so excited to bust out my crazy purple tights, my old school denim jacket (ever since I saw footloose) and wear my new working boots ;) They were so comfortable!! I had a lovely lunch date with my sissy the other day and had her snap these of me. I love that we get together so often! Don't you just love sisters? I hate that my other two live so far away. I miss them so much. I am excited for this fall/winter season because I always get out the movie Little Women and watch it. My sisters and I always watched it when the weather would get colder growing up. Since there is four of us it made the movie extra fun. We would discuss who would be Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March. Jo was always my favorite but since I was the youngest they said I was Amy. Since I was in love with Laurie aka Christian Bale I was perfectly okay with it!! Do you live close to your sisters? And get to do lunch dates? Or have any fun traditions?

1. The most selfless thing I've ever done was this one is kind of hard. I think in the future being a mother will defiantly be one. As for now probably serving on different committees or with the church. Service is just happy!

2. When it comes to working out I have been so incredibly lazy. I love it. I just don't make the time for it. I need to though. I feel so much better when I get a great work out in. When i'm working out and getting my sweat on I love it so much. For me it's just a matter of putting on the tennis shoes and getting my booty out the door!

3. A woman should always smile. Just like Marilyn Monroe said "Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."

4. I wish I could magically make more time and then I'd have so much more time to do the necessary things and all the things I love!

5. A best friend is someone who knows everything about you and still loves you.

6. I can't get enough of f.r.i.e.n.d.s. EVER. & apples. I love apples lately.

7. This weekend I am going to see footloose,getting a pedicure, going to a reception, working, have a photo shoot, and doing homework.

this week my loves are:

1. making a makeup tutorial. ahhh! i am so excited. i just need to edit it and it will be up and running. i am super nervous to post. but makeup is one of my biggest loves and passions. i am a complete dork in front of the camera. hopefully someone will benefit from it ;)
2. seeing three of my favorite friends that are married. i don't get to see them as often as I'd like so when i do it's extra fun.
3. making my green smoothie. holy yummy. go make one NOW!
