logan, utah.

 

The other weekend I got to go visit my friends up in Logan! Kati just recently moved up to go to school in the fall. We had fun exploring cute little Logan and found some fun places to eat at. We went for a drive and found a cool place to take pictures. I adore the small town Logan is and the open fields. Something about it just makes me happy. I spent the rest of the weekend and Kiley's and got to meet her sweet new baby girl, Tenley. I was in love the moment I met her. Newborns are my favorite. I held her every chance I could. She is the sweetest little girl. I danced with Kiley & Kati down at Snow and sometimes I wonder what I would ever do if I never knew them! It makes me sad. We all had fun reminiscing about all of our crazy fun times in college. Before I headed back home I met up with some blog friends for dinner! It was so fun to meet up with them and chat. Nothing better then blog friends :) It was a great weekend away from my normal routine. I even took Monday off of work so I could have a day to relax & have a mini getaway.

last weekend the girls and i went to the rascal flatts and sara evans concert. besides it taking forever and a day to get there and it pouring rain (thankfully it didn't rain once we were there) the concert was super good! i love concerts at usana. it's fun just to chill on the grass seats. i didn't realize how many of sara evans older songs i knew. and of course my favorite was "a little bit stronger". rascal was awesome and the clarity of Gary's voice is simply amazing. so so so clear! they did talk a lot in between songs though and played too many of other people's songs. but when they did play their songs i really enjoyed it. i loved the song "Easy" sara came out and sang it with them. she sounded great with them. the set list included:why wait, me and my gang, summer nights, god bless the broken road, stand, unstoppable, my wish, lonesome rd., easy, life is a highway, fast cars and freedom, there (my personal fave), what hurts the most, stand acoustic, and then a few of other peoples songs. now i can cross them off my concert bucket list!  the drive home was bumper to bumper traffic because of traffic, construction and an accident. a drive that should take about 45 minutes took me almost 2 1/2 hrs. boo! oh well we had some funny times on the way home. thanks for the memories girls!oh and the opening act was a guy named justin moore. i recognized a few of his songs, and have since listened to them. he has a twangy voice and i love it. cute little country boy he is. love this song of his. he's a cute little cowboy. i still have a dream of marrying someone from a small town. i guess i have a little country girl in me at heart. 

feels like home

ky, sam and i always try to go to Ephraim every summer for the manti pageant. we lived together for two years in college and made a promise that we would always try to get together through the years every summer for the pageant or just get together no matter where we lived. since we were all busy with other things during the pageant we mad a little trip to e town to  spend time. we ate our favorite food in our small town. walked around the beautiful campus. and took about a million pictures (of course) ky's parents live there so we hung out there and played a little pool and air hockey. and laughed all night. long. something about the bond between roommates that become some of your best friends that is just awesome. you just GET each other. you know everything there is to know about that person.and you can predict how they will act in certain situations. i love these girls to death and they will always be a part of me. i love laughing non stop with them!

PS: snow cones with ice cream AND sweet and condensed milk on the top is BOMB.

the weekend.

1. got to spend time with the old roomies. we watched an awesome video i had put together of our two years at college of all of our videos/pictures/inside jokes/quotes and we laughed a ton. i love when we are able to get together. its the bestest. we just get each other.

2. kimbo and me at work. gotta love saturdays at work. and no make up :) 

3. girls night out with my sis. i was brave and went & got indian food. it was fabulous. highly recommended it. im so proud of myself for trying new things. if you know me i like to stick to my basics. then we headed over to the sweet tooth fairy for some goodies. oh and did i mention their treats were in the goodie bags for the country grammys? then we went shoe shopping. more on that later. i just love my sis. & wished my other two lived closer so they could join in on the fun!

4. it SNOWED. i couldn't believe my eyes. i was just loving the idea of warm{er} weather, but that's utah for you.

5. puzzle time. i love my puzzle time.

6. and the best part of my weekend was watching conference!!! oh how i needed it. it always seems to come at the time when i need it the most. such inspiration and love was felt. i love the gospel with all my heart. it is such a peace and comfort in my life. i am blessed.

 i  invited the sister missionaries over to watch it on sunday! and i made a nummy treat.  we had a great time.

can't wait till next weekend.

it will be just as wonderful.

just everything.

most of all i just miss being around you. you make everyone happy. you are so beautiful inside and out. you are so positive and so strong.you are determined. you are a wonderful example of a mama. you are kind. sweet. loving. and passionate. 

thanks for always being there and being a wonderful friend. we clicked from the moment we starting talking. can't believe it's already been almost five years!

my favorite small town.

tradition.

the old roomies and i made it a tradition to always go to the pageant every summer. so here we are this year! i love the pageant. it may be a little cheesy at times but the spirit is so strong & i always tear up at the end of it. if you have never been, go next summer. i just love it.
i love that my old roomies and i can go forever with out all being together and everything is just the same as we left it. we reminisce on old times. laugh our heads off at the stupid things we did. and talk about our life's. i was blessed with such great roommates and friends!
we spent the day in ephraim & had a nice lunch at our favorite pizza joint. then ky's dad gave us a tour of the new library! it's so so pretty and nice. i love it. its crazy how much the college has grown just since i was there two years ago. we had our usual funnel cake & twisted tators and walked around to the different tents. i just love small towns. every thing about them. and i have a special place in my heart for ephraim & manti. love. love. love them. anyhow enough of my ramblings.. on to the pics!..

i really wanted to get a nice picture of the Manti Temple so i can frame it for my room and i think i just may have accomplished that.. <3>
