NYC pt.4

This is the day I don't like to talk about. You can read more of the deets here. Besides that whole mess I absolutely loved the 9/11 memorial museum. It was so touching. I got teary eyed several times. It was cool to read about every one's life's, their stories, hear news reports, see actual parts of buildings, fire trucks, police outfits, etc. The museum is a must see in NYC. New York was a blast & I can't wait until I get to go back again. xoxo

NYC PT.3

Day three was the day of eating! We did the the Original Greenwich Village Food Tour. It was delicious. Foods of New York puts on a great tour. This was my second time doing a walking food tour. I love learning about the culture of the village along with tasting all of the amazing food that the neighborhood has to offer. Greenwich Village is probably my favorite party of the city. It is so unique and has a charm to it. We went to Joe's Pizza (hands down, the best pizza in NYC!!) O & Co Olive oil shop, Faicco's Italian Specialties (holy cow, that rice ball was amazeballs!), Pesce Pasta (the cutest old lady from Italy runs it) Fafele Ristorante, Milk & Cookies Bakery (yum.) Murray's cheese shop(I never realized how much I love cheese until this place) & Rocco's Pasticceria (the BEST cannoli I've ever had.. and I crave it all the time) Needless to say this food tour was fabulous. Our tour guide Bert was hilarious and so nice. He told us about some neat stories about the neighborhood. He showed us where a few celebrities lived, the narrowest house in NYC, took us downstairs into a secret bar that's in the basement of an old Italian shop where locals perform on the weekends  & even took us into Cherry Lane Theatre. This Theatre is where Barbra Streisand had her first job cleaning the stage, painting scenery & moving sets. She met the Millers who owned the Theatre & they she out an exchange with the couple babysitting, and in return they gave her a scholarship to Mr.Miller's acting school. It is so fun to learn all these cool stories from the locals! Then we went back to our hotel took a nap and freshened up for our Broadway. My favorite part of going to Broadways is buying a dress for it! We went and saw The Lion King. It was POURING rain on our way to the theatre. Thank heavens our hotel was really close by. I really enjoyed the production. The music was stunning. We then met up with a friend in the city for a late dinner at Juniors. Oh, how I love the city!

NYC pt.2

Day two of my trip was probably my favorite! We rode a pedi-cab through Central Park. It was so lush, green, and always breath taking. A few months prior to the trip we scored some Jimmy Fallon tickets. It was a dream come true. Literally everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. It was so neat to see everything behind the scenes, see Jimmy in person, see how amazing and smooth everything is operated and to see some celebs. On my Instagram that day I wrote "Eeeeek! You guys. I'm star struck. Jimmy oh,Jimmy. AMAZING!! Love him. We saw Ricky Gervais, Ansel Elgort & Miranda Lambert!! And then to top it off after the show the producers said they had a surprise for us.. That we got to see another show because they had to film it today! Sooo we saw good ol' Jeff Daniels & Jim Carey! And they were doing a skit (with the arms) it was unreal. Hilarious people. Hilarious!" It really was the neatest experience to be at the NBC studio. A memory I'll never forget.
