These Peeps.

ONE//. I just love these peeps. It's funny how roommates become like sisters. I feel so lucky to have such great people in my life.
TWO//. General Conference was just what I needed this weekend. It's always a great time to set new goals for myself & feel so spiritually uplifted. I feel so much love hearing from the Prophet & Apostles. There were a few talks I felt like were made for me.
THREE//. I am moving in a few weeks and am getting anxious for my new home & adventure. I am so excited to decorate! I have a million ideas thanks to Pinterest.
FOUR//. Dating in 2014 is exhausting, hilarious, & ridiculous. Need I say more?
FIVE//. Photography spring season is in FULL bloom. Goodbye, social life! Good thing I love what I do.
SIX//. The weather is just lovely. I need to make more of an effort to spend more time outside. I feel like my days are always spent inside. My day goes as follows: I leave the office at 4 head to the gym, come home to make dinner & spend the rest of the night a)editing b)netflix c)flirting/socializing or d) all of the above. And then it repeats.
SEVEN//. One of my favorite talks from Conference was President Uchtdorf's talk on gratitude. We can choose to be grateful, no matter what. If you would like to read or listen to it, click here. I highly suggest it. It was beautifully said & made me realize and truly think about what I am most grateful for & that I need to not take for granted on a daily basis what is in front of me, even when times are rough.

Night Ramblings

-It's already starting to feel like Valentines in these neck of the woods. My roommate always makes the cutest banners & decorations for our apartment. I love the homey feeling it gives our little space.
-I feel like the older I get the faster time is flying by. Where has January gone? And have I really only blogged like once?
-Speaking of getting older this week I have had this conversation several times, "REALLY?? You're 25 almost 26? I never would have guessed that!!!"  So either I look younger than my age, or people these days are just extra nice! I guess i'll take it as a compliment?
-My new years goals are still going strong! Which makes me a happy camper. I will report back in a different post one of the hardest yest most fulfilling goals I have achieved this month!
-My parents started remodeling their mail level of their house. As excited as I am for a new fun change for them it's just crazy to think that my future children won't see the house exactly how it was when I grew up in it. And that just breaks my heart a little.
-It is a small small world. I made some crazy connections with some people I met this week that they grew up with people I knew.
-I saved a lady that fell out of her car onto the ice and talked to 911. So,I guess you could say i'm now a superhero.
-I have had writers block for so long and it feels good to just write as I think.
-I may be having some exciting changes in the next few months. Decisions are so hard, yet so exciting!
-I have been drinking a lot more water lately, and that my friends is a huge accomplishment!
-Jeff is in town. And that always makes my heart happy!
-I've been watching Fresh Prince this week while editing, and that itself is just amazing.
-I got to spend time with some blog friends last week & it was epic. (more on that later!)
-I decided I hate awkward elevator happenings. Maybe i'll start talking the stairs?
-Last thought of the night goes to the fact that it's freezing outside and yet I still open my window to my bedroom to cool off my room before I go to bed. You would have thought I grew up in a cold dark basement or something? ;)

it was back to life back to reality today.

when i got to work i had two monitors instead of one.

looks like i'm moving up in the world.

after work i hung out with the jiffy lube men.

and caught up on some mags.

then relaxed for a bit and ate the last of my 

cadbury eggs. #depressing.

it was so pretty after it rained today.

i have this weird obsession with the sky.

then it was off to the mall. 

with one of my besties.

it was so nice to get out of the house.

after all i had just spent four days in bed. blah.

and i wore my fave lipstick.

which always makes me happy

shopping therapy.

cheaper than a therapist right?

i got a cute scarf and some summer shoes.

yee haw!

then miss allie and i headed to 

firehouse subs.

hello, yumm. i was glad to try a new place.

she is also the one who makes my hairs pretty.

march madness 13-16

hola! another week! it flew by, that is for sure. since i didn't go anywhere for spring break i made sure to get together with friends and go out. it was a blast. i will post pictures later on. it's been nice not to have to worry about tests, studying or going to class but just to work and then go play each night. i am excited for the weekend i have a friends birthday party, possibly going up to salt lake, teaching on sunday, catching up on editing, {hopefully blogging} and just having a low key weekend!

oh heyyyy!

i have a million things i could blog about, but i have been super duper lazy. oh well. i'll get around to it this week sometime, promise! life is good. it's technically 'spring break' but i don't really get a spring break. unless you count working the whole week a break from school? i guess i'll take what i can get! does anyone have any fun spring or summer vacations they are looking forward to??

i have never been able to find a mascara that i can actually say the word love with.
but this i LOVE. it gives the appearance of a natural thick lashes that
you would think you would have false lashes on. but nope! just mascara. it's simply amazing.

 i like to fill in my brows. and this stuff is magical.
it gives you enough color, definition and doesn't look like you tattooed your brows on!

 sort of dying at the fact that jesse williams just landed in the salt lake airport and is on his way to park city.

seriously contemplating going to stalk him. haha ;) love me some McAvery!

we had to run an errand and pick up lunch for a conference.

i have never held so many french fries and burgers at once.

it was hilarious.

school started today.

i am loving my new schedule. 

i love my classes.

now in the lib waiting for my next class eating a smartie sucker, editing pictures, and listening to country music.

that's when you know it's good.

talked to some good friends on the phone. 

oh, and not to mention the sun is shining. i'm sort of getting used to this whole no snow thing. 

today is a good day.

it's the little things.

deep cleaned my desk and drawers at work today. that makes me one happy girl.
who else loves cleaning? i love me some lysol wipes. weird i know. don't you just love the little things that make your days that much better?!

this week has been wonderful! i recently switched to working days instead of nights. it just worked better for my school schedule next semester and maybe now i'll have a little down time. it has been so wonderful having a little break from school and having my nights free to spend time with friends and just relax. it's been fabulous!

1000 & a giveaway!!!

This here is my 1000th post!

I thought I would share with you a few things about myself and why I blog.

{july 2007}

I started this little blog here on July 8th, 2007.

I didn't REALLY start blogging til the fall of 2007.

I was at the ripe age of 19 years old and about to move back to my little college town to start my second year of college. My sister had been bugging me about getting a blog so she and my family could see what I was up to while I was away... and so I gave into peer pressure and did! I was so hesitant because back then blogging was for the girls that were married or had kids. What was I to blog about? I am so glad I gave in & that I have kept up with it. I love clicking back into old posts and reading about things that I forgot I did. Even though I don't get too personal on here I love reading about random stories, what I did that weekend, who I was hanging out with, random quotes that I have found, or remembering when I bought my first car, memories of boys that I've dated, or family traditions. All of these things have made me become who I am today. I love seeing my growth as a person & things I have accomplished.

Just like my grandpa said

How true is that?? With just even one little line our mind can take us back to actual reality.

And, boy do I love to remember.

Another aspect of blogging that just makes me happy is sharing pictures. Now days it seems like no one ever prints pictures. The process goes as follows: you snap pictures of something, you upload them to your computer, store them in a file and on occasion look at them. I love the fact that with a blog you can post your pictures and "journal" about what happened on that very day in time. I love that you can make blogs into your own personal story book. One day I will be able to show my future family things I used to do and the people I was around: and read them my life story :)

I have become friends with some amazing people on here. Some have become just my bloggy friends and other IRL friends. People who just don't get blogging probably find it so funny, but I love {and yes I do realize I have probably said love a million times already in this post, but hey I'm just a passionate person ;)} the friendships I have made. We all seem to relate to each other in some form or another. There have been many days when I have been having a terrible day and I will read someones blog that inspires me. There have also been many times where someones silly little comment just brightened my day.I just love the little blogging community.

And now for some random facts about me for you:

7. I have a ring that I got when I was in California at drill/dance camp that I  wear a ring on my right hand ring finger. I don't leave home with out it.

6. I am always the one nominated to plan something. I am the planner for just about everything. When it comes to a few different groups of friends some how I end up doing it. And I love it. {next item of business coming up that I planned is my drill/dance 5th year reunion in December!}

5. I get along with just about every personality type. Not sure how this one happened? But it's the truth.

4. I have to fall asleep to noise. I typically fall asleep to Ross, Monica, Rachel, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe making me laugh.

3. I am the worlds greatest procrastinator. But I have come to terms I just work better under a time limit and stress ;)

2. I dream of living in a small town. {With a cute re-done old house & a porch swing.}

1. I wear colored contacts. Although my eyes are naturally blue I just like it better that way! Oh, and I'm blind as a bat :)

i have fun things to blog about. 

i don't know if i just have writers block, not making the time, too busy or just what my problem is.

just know i miss reading all of your bloggies.

 i admit i have 1000+ posts in my reader.

 i also admit i am tempted to just click 'mark all as read' and have a fresh start. 

i admit i skipped class today to sleep in and work on homework.
{started my 'thanksgiving break' early}

i also let my hair air dry. and that up there is the result. 

i am so checked out of school mode but need to plug along for a few more weeks. 

i bought a gym pass today for super duper cheap. 

can't wait for a new schedule soon.

Until then I'll be engaged in studying for a huge test (the last one was over 4 hours, no joke) with all these lovely paintings! I really do miss all of your blogs, it makes me sad. I miss reading about your fun times, cute outfits, and awesome creations. Isn't it sort of hilarious how attached to reading blogs and blogging ourselves we get? It's like its a part of me is missing ;).
