it's the little things..

sometimes i like to go on adventures.

to an unknown destination.

and have some quality time with my camera.

lately i have been feeling a little.. okay maybe a lot overwhelmed with life.

that i have forgot to do those things that i love the most. cooking, dancing, taking pictures randomly, being in nature.. oh the list could go on and on. so i picked one of these and went on a little adventure. 

if you too have forget to do one of the little things you love. i challenge you to all go do something this week. something that you have PASSION about. something that makes you feel like you. something relaxing. enjoyable. and happy. i promise, you'll feel like a new person once you do. it will bring a little piece of you back. and put a smile on your face.

diamonds are a girls best friend.

MMM. I had my first cup of hot chocolate of the season today. It was delicious. I really just can't believe how cold it has been and only in a matter of days. The mountains are full of snow. I just want to have a little bit of fall. I hope mister weather man is reading this. I love days that are out of the blue and random. Today was one of those days. I helped in a kindergarten class. So fun. I just love kids! I hung out with the birthday boy, had a good night at work, and then went shopping with one of my good friends. Funny story. As we were walking in the mall the first store we past was a jewelry store. So being the girly girls that we were we were just glancing at the front display case. Next thing we know a guy walks up and starts chatting and makes us come in and try on rings. Hello fun! The salesman was pretty dang cute too. He may or may not have been flirting it up. ha! He picked out the prettiest ring for me.. lol. Anyhow it was just a nice night of shopping and good food of course.  I ended my night by watching VH1's top 100 songs of the 00's. I forgot how much I love watching those shows. I used to spend hours in the summer growing up watching those over and over. Anyone else used to watch those??! Anyhow, hope you all are having a great weekend so far & remember diamonds are a girls best friend!!

 if you haven't lately. i highly suggest it.

especially while you're surrounded by nature.

it was nice to soak in some fresh air for a few minutes and let all my worries go. to lay on the grass and think.

i always forget how breathtaking the mountains,

the lake, the dandelions, the grass,

 the sky, the clouds, and even the brush in the lake is.

 Utah is beautiful. 

ps. this may or may not be where I'm going on a picnic on Saturday :) yippeee.

ashley woke up this mornin' feelin like p diddy.

you know those great days that make up for all the bad ones? that would be today folks. wow did i really just say folks? ha. i woke up just in a happy mood. then started the day with a killer toning class at the gym. yikes. it burned. and im def going to be sore tomorrow. then i went on a little lunch date.  good food.and great conversations. don't you just love that? so funny story. a long time ago right after i graduated high school i went on a little date with the same guy and we were leaving and he started to drive away right after i got in the car & my door was still open and i srsly almost fel out of the car..{i think the story went something like that..} so freakin funny. ohhh so i wore my feather earrings. and they  just make me happy too. today is my three year mark at my job. time flies. that is for dang certain. it's crazy to think it's already been three years! below is my cute little desk. oh and its cinco de mayo today. which i am super bummed i'm still sitting at my desk instead of eating some mexican food. but don't worry that's on the agenda tomorrow evenin'. i also washed & cleaned out my car today. those photo props=ashley's messy car. and it has been such sketchy weather that my car {diddy} was in much need of a car wash. anyhow enough of my randomness. but hope ya'll are having a great day too :)

 ps i finished prison break s.4 last night.. ummm i was balling like a little girl. hello shocker!! any other prison break fans out there?

i got to skype with this pretty girl yesterday.

oh my! how i miss her.

so glad Lindee now has skype.

even tho we don't live that far away from each other, we don't get around to seeing each other that often. so it was so great 

to catch up and chat and laugh. 

she pretty much rocks.

i like that skype makes you feel

like you're pretty much 

sitting right next to the person.

its pure awesomeness.

i made her smile so i could take this for my blog.

cuz i told her it made me so happy to talk to her.
