in with the new.

I am so happy to finally launch my new blog design! I feel like a new woman. It has been a long time in coming and it feels so great to be done. I want to thank Kailyn Marie Designs for their wonderful work. She was fantastic to work with. I can't wait to share more what I have been up to and to share more of my life with you. I love blogging for the mere fact that you can take a little break from it and come back where you left off. It was a much needed break as I previously mentioned in my last post my business has been busy this season (such a blessing) but which in turn made this blog and my photography blog suffer. It will be so fun to catch up on old sessions, memories, & fun activities I have been up to. With it being the month of thanks I have especially been reflecting on my love for journals and blogs. It's a beautiful way to capture the good (and sometimes bad) moments of our life's. A way to see where we have been so it can direct us to where we will go. I love looking back and reflecting on the memories I have made. The friends, my surroundings and the lessons I have learned along the way. Here's to a fresh new blog & a fresh new blogging me!

Provo Farmers Market

Earlier in August my roommate and I headed over to the farmers market that was going on in Provo on a Saturday morning. Something about the market just makes me happy and my inner hippie comes out :) I bought some delicious pears & nectarines. I also got some pepper jelly! It was fabulous poured over cream cheese. (i dip with wheat thins) It is also great used as a sauce for crock pot chicken. I love me some spicy pepper jelly!

downtown salt lake city

A few weeks ago my friend Sam and I went downtown for the afternoon and evening. We ended up renting bikes and rode all around downtown. We probably could have picked a cooler day to do it or went when the sun was down but we still had a blast! After we walked around City Creek, Temple Square & the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Even though I have been a million times it never gets old. I love the SLC Temple and love how stunning it is! After burning lots of calories from biking we went to a local joint called The Garage. They have a patio & live music and killer food. We started with the 'fried Mormon funeral potatoes' and they were to die for! I will be back just go get those. For my entree I ordered the /Black & Blue' burger that had crumbled blue cheese, bacon & peppers. It was fun to get out of my city and do something different. Love where you live, I do!

sunset.

Sometimes I forget I live right by a lake. I am literally 5 minutes from Utah Lake. I love nature and being in it's presence :) Something about being near a lake or an ocean makes takes you back and realize how beautiful the earth is. I feel so blessed to live so close to the mountains and lake. The older I get the more I love Utah and love where I live! I love watching the sunset at the lake it just makes me happy. I can't believe we are already in August now the summer is escaping quickly and I need to soak in every second of it.
