420 A

My heart is so full right now thinking about my time at this apartment. I moved just a few weeks ago. It has been bittersweet. 420A had been home for almost the past two years. I feel like I grew so much as a person during the time that I lived there. I have truly come to know myself, whats important to me, who my friends are, what i want in life, in a spouse, in a friend, and the type of woman I want to become. I have made plenty of mistakes, been through trials, had my heart sting more than once and cried a few tears. Along with that I have also moved past a lot, risen to my highest, made amazing new friends, been the closest with God, been in the most amazing ward, learned from wonderful roommates, laughed a lot, rose to my potential and created many memories that I will always hold close to my heart.

I will never forget the peaceful feeling I had when I first walked into this apartment. I knew I was supposed to move here. I didn't know quite why at that moment in time but 420 has been a beautiful roller coaster that I would never replace. It was a beautiful chapter in my book of life.

I'll miss pulling up into the parking garage, going to the cute elevator to floor 4 , being surrounded constantly with wonderful people, and going to bed at night looking over the lake. So many memories took place in that little apartment that I will always cherish.

420, I'll miss you. you were a good one.

story of my life.

i am going to join in on this.

i was born in the lovely year of 1988 in provo, utah.
baby of 7.

i grew up in the heart of orem- and my parents still live in the house i grew up in.
i secretly hope they never move. it will always be home.

i spent my childhood climbing trees, playing night games, building sand castles, going boating at utah lake, barbies, dolls, and wanting to be just like my 3 older sisters.

junior high came i quit piano and started dancing. (just like my mom said i would, i regret not being able to still play. but i sure can dance) i was on student council and that is when i stopped being shy.

the summer before high school i tried out for cheer and didn't make it. i was so mad. little did i know god had a better plan. i tried out for drill team and it would change my life and teach me some of the most valuable lessons.

high school was my favorite. i had the best group of friends. those are the memories i'll never forget.

after high school i randomly decided to go to snow college. still to this day i have no idea where that idea came from. but it was probably the best decision in my life thus far. i got a dance scholarship, danced on the drill team, learned more about myself then i ever have, dated some pretty awesome guys, met some of my best friends in life & fell in love with the small town life.

a few years later i moved back to orem. i started working at pmi, fell in love for the first time, found photography, became independent, & tried to figure out life.

a few more years later i am still trying to figure out life while building my photography business, enjoying the whole dating scene, obsessed with traveling, i have the cutest apartment, and i love trying new food. oh, and i do peoples makeup on the side. it's my passion.

and that my friends is the story of me.

wedding time.

you'd think i were the bride or something since it's far past midnight and i can't sleep. i am SO excited for one of my best friends weddings today!! its going to be a fun filled day, watching her come out the the Temple after she gets married, taking lots and lots of pictures, going to the luncheon, then running home to get ready again, go to my makeup appointment, then go to the reception venue for pictures and dance the night away at the reception! i am just so happy for her. she is going to be a beautiful bride. i can't wait to post snap shots i get of the day! it's funny as each of my friends have gotten married the day before i gather all of these thoughts and memories of that person. and just have a fun time remembering when we first met. or how we became friends. our good times. our inside jokes. the hard times. when we've cried. or laughed. just about everything. its like a flashback of our friendship. weird i know. but it's fun to think of it all, really it is. i am a person of the past. even though i try to live in the present. i just love the past. because it has made me who i am. built my foundation. and made me stronger. i wish i had the time or energy to scan some funny old pictures over. but i am too lazy to move out of my bed. so i will grab some from Facebook. but i am thankful for miss Kaylie and her friendship over the years. we met the summer before our sophomore year. we have had nothing but good times. and more to come. we are always on the same page. i know i will always be laughing when I'm around her. we share a passion for dance. she is so loving. so forgiving. patient. humble. talented and so beautiful inside and out. maybe one day i will convince her to start a blog, so you can know her too! anyhow enough night/early morning ramblings. time to sleep. and please pray i don't forget the bouquet!

Pics from Grandpa Johnsons Grave

I love the weekend of memorial day because my parents and I go up and visit Grandpa Johnson's Grave. Since I was only about four when he passed away I've always liked hearing stories about him. I remember him coming over and my friend Emilee and I would be playing and he would call us "boys" and we would just giggle. I also remember him always having worthers original candies. Here are some pics from that day. It was a pretty overcast day, which made for some neat pics.xoxo
