chicken and waffles

okay, so have any of you ever had chicken and waffles??
ya i know what you're probably thinking.. "ew, gross".
don't knock it till ya try it. 
helloooo goodness.
it may just be a new fave.


the girlies and i went out to bayleaf cafe.
they serve koolaid. this place was awesome.
everyone may or may not have been starring us down because we were laughing non stop.
then the girls & i watched our old dance video of all of our pictures and football/basketball half time's from college drill.
then we danced the night away.


i have def not laughed that hard in a long time.  


ps you should do me a favor and stop by this bloggity blog.
i may or may not have just updated it.

my weekend.

oh how i live for the weekends.

especially when the week seems like

it's never going to end.

chel made dinner at the 206

so i tagged along.

the boys loved her dinner.

and then we played some pretty funny games.

let's just say i shouldn't allow men to 

text other people from my phone.

and we played the card game "bang".

and saturdays are just the best.

i met kati jo for lunch at zupas

then we headed to the west jordan location

of the chocolate.

{a desert cafe}

and got our favorite cuppycakes!

its crazy how time can just pass you by

and you can go forever with out seeing 

your close friends.

that's one thing i have a love/hate relationship

 about facebooking and blogs 

is that you feel like you are 

still in contact but aren't really.

even thought you feel like it

 "face time" as i like to call it.. is so much better.

do you know what i mean?

then saturday night my bff & chel watched legally blonde.

love movie nights in our sweats.

i got to skype with this pretty girl yesterday.

oh my! how i miss her.

so glad Lindee now has skype.

even tho we don't live that far away from each other, we don't get around to seeing each other that often. so it was so great 

to catch up and chat and laugh. 

she pretty much rocks.

i like that skype makes you feel

like you're pretty much 

sitting right next to the person.

its pure awesomeness.

i made her smile so i could take this for my blog.

cuz i told her it made me so happy to talk to her.

oh how i miss all my snow girls.

i love how the simplest things

can just make your day

THAT much better.

went to stay with lindee lou in the sl,ut.
we went to dinner with our college dance girls.
then got a red box and red bulls.
and were beyond hyper.
just like our college days.

miss kati jo.

one of my favorite girls from snow came and stayed with me for a night.
i was so happy we finally got together after months of trying to find a weekend. yahooie!
first i dragged her along with me to a photog session.
she was wonderful, making the kids smile and laugh!
i need to hire her as my full time assistant.
shes pretty cool. i must say.
then i took her to my favorite place.
the chocolate of course.
she loved. just as much as me.

then we went to a bbq.
with the friends i grew up with.
and their spouses..
cept davey and are too cool for that.

then we randomly decided to hike the Y.
i think all of us realized how out of shape we are.
but we had fun.
and archie serenaded us with the guitar.
and jared entertained us.

we had a late night del run,

then stayed up til almost four talking.

it was just like old times.

thanks kati for coming to visit me in o town.

come again soon. very soon.

Tricia Rogers

A few weeks ago a girl named Tricia that I had danced with my sophomore year was in a tragic car accident and passed away a few days later. It was a very sad time for all. She was such a great person and is missed by many. More than half of our team from that year and Kathleen (our coach) went to the funeral. It was a very spiritual and emotional experience for me. It brought on a new perpective of life for me, and was a good refresher of the gospel. I am so greatful and blessed for the knowledge that families can be together forever!
