sometimes i make my mom's chocolate chip cookies. with her supervision of course. which by the way are the best chocolate cookies out there. when i was in elementary school my friends would beg me to bring them cookies. sometimes we would even trade treats. i remember coming home each friday after school & walk into my house smelling like cookies. mom would put them in our cookie jar/old clear tupperware jar with the lime green lid. so on sunday when i was baking i forgot that the speed on the kitchen aid was on high and i added flour and BAM it went everywhere. i was cracking up. mom didn't think it was too funny, but grams lola was laughing. i love the little moments like these. of course after a few minutes my mom busts up laughing. i love coming to my parents house on the weekends. the smell. our rock kitchen floor. my dads music. my moms laugh. and when grams is over all the old stories about her life and my dads childhood. these are the best of times. and not to mention the best chocolate chip cookies you ever did have.

Wow these look so yummy!! I'll have to try to make them myself xxx
The dough. Just...the dough looks absolutely ridiculously amazing. Gimme.
I meant the dough alone. I mean, the cookies look rather fabulous too. Just sayin.
Looks so yummy, but I don't envy the mess. The question I keep asking myself is why don't we have cookies our house right now...?
I love all the handwritten notes on the recipe; it's what makes that photo really special.
Yum! Now I am really craving cookies.
