CHICKEN ROLL – UPS
(Makes 8 Chicken Roll-ups)
2 Chicken breasts cooked
(in
crock pot is best, save juices for gravy)
1 – 8 oz. cream cheese,
softened
Ranch flavored croutons,
crushed
½ cube (1/4 C ) melted butter
or margarine
1 package of Pillsbury crescent
rolls, 8 in package tube
Break cooked chicken apart
with 2 forks, and add softened cream cheese, you may not want to use all of the
cream cheese depending on the how much meat you have. Start with ½-3/4 of the package and mix with
the chicken. (I don’t think you can ever
have enough cream cheese, so you may just want to use the whole 8 oz.!)
Take your crescent rolls and
stretch the triangles and put a heaping spoonful of the chicken mixture on it
and fold up the 2 smaller sides first, then roll to the pointed end, you will
want to stretch it to make it cover the meat.
After filling all 8, dip in melted butter or margarine and roll in
crushed croutons. Place on baking sheet
and bake at 350* for about 15-20 minutes.
Just until they are very lightly golden!
*Note: To make an easy chicken gravy, warm a can of
Cream of Chicken
Soup, add the juices from your
cooked chicken, stir, and add a little
milk to make it the consistency
you desire for the gravy. Or, using
the chicken juices, make your own
gravy.
